The Darkspear Dash was a couple weeks ago in World of Warcraft. It’s a new micro holiday based on the fan event, the Running of the Trolls. The fan event raised money for The Trevor Project, which focuses on suicide prevention for LGBTQ+ youth.
The event started with a beach party on the Echo Isles and then a run across Mulgore, through a portal to the Eastern Kingdoms, and then north to Silvermoon.
I did not show up for the official run time, so I wasn’t doing it with others. But I really enjoyed all the bright colors and fun and the fact that the game is acknowledging a long held fan event.
